December will be one of the biggest months for poker players around the world with three major tournament series scheduled – the brand-new World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise in The Bahamas, the popular PokerStars-sponsored European Poker Tour (EPT) Prague, and the record-setting World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn, Las Vegas.

The live poker extravaganza begins on December 3 with WSOP Paradise, a collaboration between WSOP and GGPoker. Three days after, it will be PokerStars’ turn as EPT Prague gets underway, with the WPT World Championship also kicking off on December 12.

Additionally, there will be online satellites running, giving players a more affordable alternative to enter each of the series.

Despite the different start dates, there’s a clear overlap in the schedules of these three series, as each will run for at least more than a week.

WSOP Paradise (Dec. 3-14)

WSOP Paradise, BahamasThis new bracelet series from the WSOP in partnership with GGPoker is among the most highly-anticipated poker events this year.

Players are set to compete for 15 gold bracelets and more than $50 million in guarantees.

The festival takes place at the Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahama.

Whilst this entails huge travel costs, those on the hunt for bracelet glory won’t mind the expenses. GGPoker will also be hosting online qualifiers for the series.

PokerStars EPT Prague (Dec. 6-17)

PokerStars EPT PragueEPT Prague is one of the most popular stops of the tour, so it won’t be surprising if the series will once again attract massive attendance.

In 2022, the €5,300 buy-in EPT Prague Main Event attracted the largest field (1,267) in the tour’s history, creating €6,144,950 in total prize pool.

Don’t forget that Prague is also among the top must-visit cities especially during the winter season because of its Christmas markets and other attractions.

WPT World Championship (Dec. 12-20)

PokerStars EPT PragueThe WPT World Championship returns for its second edition this year. The main highlight of the series is the $10,400 WPT World Championship.

Last year, the event had an initial guarantee of $15 million and that figure was easily smashed as it ended up awarding nearly $30 million in total prize money – the largest-ever Main Event prize pool in the history of the WPT.
